Anantnag, Apr 17 (KNO): Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President and former chief minister of erstwhile J&K state, Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday attacked the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and said that it wants to muzzle the voices of Kashmiris, besides asking people to vote for those, who can represent them in the parliament in a true sense. Talking to reporters after addressing the public rally at Kund Kulgam, PDP Chief, as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that the dignity, land and resources are under attack and she will highlight such issues in the parliament if voted to power. She alleged that BJP wants to see all Kashmir's dead within an aim to ensure that nobody raises the voice against them. Mehbooba said they want to pressurize the people to muzzle their voices. “I will not play a blame game as it is a matter of identity and dignity,” she said. Asked about the recent statement of Union Home Minister Amit Shah about accusing the regional parties of handing over guns to Kashmiris, she said that in case a fake encounter has occurred during anyone’s rule, action must be taken against them. She said the Amshipora fake encounter and Bufliaz civilian killing had taken place during his own rule, but the question remains whether justice has been delivered . Furthermore, Mehbooba reacted to the NC’s decision of fielding their candidates from Kashmir, saying that the party should have made a call to her in this regard and sought her support in the interests of J&K. However, she said that the party (NC) started to demeaning PDP by claiming that this party (PDP) is finished—(KNO)
